Gemma Lodge is an Illustrator based in London. She has recently completed her BA in Fashion Illustration and Imaging at UAL: London College of Fashion. She creates bright and joyful portraits in a mixture of mediums including oil pastel, pencil, paint and mixed media collage. Her work explores themes of personal identity and gender representation, most recently with a particular interest in marginalised forms of masculinity. Through her work she captures a sense of intimacy and warmth, using texture and bold lines to create an aesthetic that is playful, whilst posing a challenge to the norms of visual culture.
